For your convenience, the Crossley Hotel has assembled a list of some of the most frequently asked questions regarding our hotel. If you require additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

When can I check in?
Check-in time is guaranteed from 2pm onwards. Early check-in is strictly subject to availability. 

Late check-out can usually be arranged for a small fee - please ask reception. 

When can I check out?
Check-out time is 10am.

What are the hotel’s reception hours?
We have a 24 hour reception desk, therefore late check-in is available.

Can I smoke in the rooms?
Crossley Hotel is proud to be a 100% non-smoking accommodation provider.

Where can I park my Car?
The hotel offers Self Parking at a discounted rate at a public car park near by. This does not need to be pre-booked - please ask reception upon your arrival. 

What is the charge for Children?
One child under the age of 12 years, can stay FREE, when staying with full paying adults and using existing bedding. A second child is charged at the adult extra person rate. An infant under 2 years may stay free of charge over and above this policy. Cot hire is free, one per room, subject to availability. 

Check-in Policy

A $100 pre-authorisation payment is required upon check-in. This is released back to your credit card upon check-out. The hotel releases this immediately. Your bank then takes between 3 - 10 days on average to return this credit to your account. A valid credit card and photo I.D (matching) are required upon check-in.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy is 48 hours. Cancellations within this time frame may incur one night's accommodation charge. Groups have extended cancellation policies, which will be communicated when your group is booked in. Some rate plans/discounts may be non-refundable, please see the terms when booking via our website.

If you have booked via a third party (travel agents such as Expedia, Booking.com etc), please process your cancellation via that company also as we cannot cancel these directly. 

Do you have any other properties that you are affiliated with?

Yes, Easystay is our sister property located in St Kilda. We offer studio apartments at Abode St Kilda (4-star), and Easystay Studio Apartments (3 star), located close to the beach, public transport, Luna Park and the Palais Theatre. Please contact us for more information about accommodation in St Kilda. 

Public Transport

Crossley Hotel is 3 minutes walk from the nearest tram stop on Bourke St. Trams are free of charge within the central city area. Crossley Hotel is 5 minutes walk from Parliament Train Station, which connects with both Flinders St and Southern Cross Train Stations, via the city loop.

To use public transport, purchase a Myki card from any train station or 7/11 convenience store and top it up with funds.

You must touch on to any tram (outside the free tram zone). Touching off on trams is not required. If taking a train, ensure you touch on, and also touch off with your Myki card to ensure the cheapest rate. 

Airport Transport

Crossley Hotel can organise a premium taxi from the hotel to airport, at a discounted rate. This is currently $61.20 per person, payable directly to the driver. Please ask at reception.

For travel from the airport to the hotel, please step outside and either catch a taxi from the rank at the airport, or a Skybus ($19.00 each way) to Southern Cross Station, then catch a free tram down Bourke St to the Spring St stop. Crossley Hotel is 200 metres away, down either the Liverpool St, or Crossley St laneways. 

Breakfast Hours

Breakfast hours are 7.00am - 10.00am Monday - Friday, and 7.30am - 10.30am on Saturdays and Sundays. Grab and Go pastry and coffee breakfasts are available if you're in a rush, or ask our team about more extensive boxed breakfast options.
